Leadership Development Programme for Religious Scholars

Course Outline

The Leadership Development Programme (LDP) for `Ulama focusses on leadership training and development of the `Ulama. Many `Ulama have generally had a limited exposure to formal leadership training and development. They, however, often find themselves in leadership positions in schools, Madrassas, Masjids, NGO’s and other bodies.

The programme aims amongst other things:
• To impart leadership skills to the `Ulama who are or will at some stage occupy leadership positions in the community,
• To expose the `Ulama to the latest thinking in leadership theory and practice, and
• To up-skill the `Ulama to enable them to take up the challenges they face/will face in leading their constituents.
